TVH (True Value Homes) is conducting an ennobling Marathon event in Coimbatore which will incite athletism and physical fitness, combined with the human urge of compassion, which will in turn inspire the city of Coimbatore. “Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity” with the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) have joined hands to organize the event “TVH Coimbatore Marathon 2009” to create awareness on the importance of “Girl Child Education”, with the motto “Naalaiya Kovai Namadhe”, coordinated through our Events Management students of BSMED (Bharathiar School of Management and Entrepreneur Development), Bharathiar University; scheduled on November 8, 2009.
The sport event “Coimbatore Marathon-2009” will:
- Potentiate and strengthen our unity.
- Enlighten and expose our citizens to realize the need for a healthy body

The Event Management students have got a genuine passion for conducting events and are trained to have a very good organizing ability and to be flexible to work for long hours. They are much incisive in their doings and are proving that they are capable to perform, to handle competitions and to win the situation.

Prior to Marathon, preparatory training fitness program will be organized. Professional Fitness experts will provide basic fitness training. The training program was inaugurated on 28th October, 2009 at 6 PM in Government Arts College, Race Course Road, Coimbatore by Dr.P.Umanath, IAS, District Collector, Coimbatore and Shri. Ansul Mishra, IAS, Commissioner – Coimbatore Corporation initiated the Marathon Registration Process.
